"My Own Little World"

I spoke at Unashamed Generation last night at Jesus First Assembly or Harvest Assembly representing UrbanPromise and MoveIn Toronto with a pretty sweet looking booth (I know, I should've taken a picture).

The theme for the night was "My Own Little World" and a passage already came into mind in Romans 12:1-2..."Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."

It was a great experience, I was a lot more comfortable than my past speaking engagements...the Holy Spirit, power and love of God was just so evident. The Gospel was preached, living and holy sacrifice, brokenness and revival, God's calling, transformation, new creation bringing new way of thinking...living...& behaving, God's will for our lives...shared my personal testimony as well as experiences from both UrbanPromise and MoveIn Toronto. (Ok, there probably were some audio and video recording of it...even some pictures. Sorry I don't have any of that for you guys but hey...just thought I'd record this time before I forget.) Some youth went up to recommit their lives to God, some realized they needed to get out of their 'own little world'...to let their own kingdom go, to decrease...and step into God's territory, God's plans, God's kingdom to come and for Him to increase. Let's just say the following quote summed up my whole experience before, during and after that night:

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

I just want to praise God!
