Hi fam,

Here's another update...well, more like a job posting. 

I am moving on my from my position at UrbanPromise Toronto from supervising the Children's Program to the Jr. High Program called YMAD (Youth Making A Difference). I was a Summer Camp Program Director for YMAD in Scarborough when I first joined then occasionally became a StreetLeader and a Volunteer during my Tyndale (Bible) University College years. After graduating, I took up this full-time Site-Supervisor position in Jane & Finch and now it's up for grabs!

I recently set up a meeting with my bosses expressing my feelings about how lonely and tiresome it is sometimes working alone here in Jane & Finch and not having a full integrated camp site. I work with children, youth and high school StreetLeaders, early college/university Program Directors and Interns (local & global), parents/guardians, (single) mothers (while also helping out the 'Karen' refugees in their ESL classes where some of our mothers attend assisting them through our own food and clothing bank), etc.

However, we are connected with a local church here in Christian Centre Church using their facilities and we have pretty good relationships with other workers and missionaries residing in this area. We especially have great relationships through MoveIn Toronto with our neighbours and some of the siblings of our UrbanPromise Toronto staff who also attend our Monday night Bible Studies and Prayer Meetings...it definitely feels like a house church.

Some of our other camp sites already have some of these present but my site is the newest. Therefore, I felt I needed to speak up and ask for help in order to relieve some of the workload...and before I go crazy LOL.

Please pray that this transition goes smoothly and that the person whom God calls will answer.
